Yes, I Write Smut. Yes, There’s Actually a Plot.

The funny thing about writing supernatural romance is that I will spend an unreasonable amount of time developing an entire fictional universe just so two people who probably shouldn’t be attracted to each other can make some very questionable decisions.

I’m talking ancient curses, complicated family histories, supernatural politics, centuries-old bargains, and enough emotional baggage to keep a therapist employed indefinitely.

I have timelines. I have character backstories. I have supernatural rules that I occasionally regret inventing because now I actually have to follow them.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, I have to figure out how to make a demon, a shadow entity, or a fae prince completely irresistible.

Which, frankly, is a responsibility I take very seriously.

So yes, there’s a plot. Sometimes it’s dark, sometimes it’s complicated, and sometimes I spend three hours working out a supernatural loophole just so my characters can have sex without accidentally triggering an ancient curse.

It’s called worldbuilding. 🖤
